ECSS Update – More Layoffs at CSC

ECSS-Flagship eLog21 Initiative

According to a Dayton Daily News story updated today, Computer Sciences Corp. said it will remove more than 200 employees and contractors from their jobs with a government computer modernization project (that would be ECSS) at their Beavercreek, OH offices. This is the second round of roll-offs as CSC calls them (reassign or lay off).

In September, the company said it would remove about 165 people from their jobs after the Air Force criticized CSC’s performance and stopped funding for a phase of the Expeditionary Combat Support System project. The jobs cuts were to take place in late September, but a CSC spokesperson said they did not know how many of those employees were ultimately laid off. First a stop work, what next?
